I will be starting induction again on Monday with you all. In Feb. ’08 I weighed 416 lbs and by July ’08 I was 360 lbs, on the Atkin’s diet. I gain 6 lbs back up until 3wks ago because I joined a aqua-aerobics class. I am now down to 354 lbs. Now Im ready to jump back on the train completely because I want to at least lose 100 more lbs by summer ’11! Im ready crew! LET’S DO THIS!!!!

Great Job! Congrats on your weight loss. Have you ever tried Shirataki noodles? They are a good replacement for spaghetti noodles. I will
be making a recipe with them today, I will record it to show you how easy it is to substitute for noodles. Thanks for the encouragement : )
    Good luck to you too!

I started induction two weeks ago and have lost 15 pounds. So far I am pleased, because through this my family is eating more fresh vegetables and less starchy standbys (spaghetti again?). I plan to do induction at least another 4 weeks. I have 40 pounds to go until I reach my goal weight. Best of luck to you!

I did do induction for longer than two weeks, maybe 4 or 5. Can’t remember exactly. Now I average around 30-35 net carbs per day, every once in a while a little higher. This is actually a comfortable place for me right now. Also, I own the 2002 version of the Atkins diet. The Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, you can get it on Amazon for a few bucks. It really is the best version of the diet to follow for large weight loss. The new book is great for maintenance. Visit sugarfreesheila.com she is very inspiring!!

Thank you!!! Congrats on your weight loss, this is so inspiring!
Janel, I encourage you to start a blog and to share your story it will help so many. Did you stay on induction the whole time or just for the two week period?

I would love to help in any way I can, take care

You can do it Jay! I will admit it gets hard sometimes but if you stay the course you will reach your goal. I have been low carbing since March and I have lost 50lbs. I was supposed to have started a blog a long time ago but I have been so focused on the weight loss that I never got around to it. I may need your help with that, lol. If you ever need anything I am here. Have you ever heard of Zumba? I take Zumba classes and they have really helped my weight loss and they are fun! Take care and stay focused, you can do this hun!!!!
