Do you have the nutrition information for your low carb bagels? I am on Weight Watchers and would love to know how many smart points they are. Thank you!

  2. Evelyn says:

Hi, do you know the cal (kcal) count per serving?

  3. Jay says:

I am not sure Amina. I have only made it using almond flour.

  4. Amina says:

Do you know if there’s a way to make this recipe nut free? It sounds awesome but if I bake almond flour in my oven, it will make my little one so sick even if he doesn’t eat it!

  5. Jay says:

Hi Sarah, You could try Coconut flour on these, please remember coconut flour will require more moisture.

  6. Sarah says:

    Hi there,

Great recipe. Any chance there’s something I can use besides flax seed? Last time I used it in a recipe, I got really sick, so now I can’t even look at the stuff. 🙂

    Thanks,

    Sarah

Hello. Use your videos as a reference all the time. We eat the Oopsie buns every day with an egg, homemade turkey sausage patties, cheddar and crumbled bacon 🙂 I’ve also broiled them with ham and cheese as well, good stuff, turns out every time. I bought the half pans, they make great buns. My question is can you toast these bagels? We would love to find something that will toast up or crisp up like an English muffin…Any suggestions. Thanks!

Hi Sheryl, the only bagel I know that is slightly sweeter is a raisin bagel, this will make it higher in carb. If you can have extra carbs then 1/4-1/3 cup of raisin would be fine.

  9. Sheryl says:

Have you ever tried a sweeter bagel like adding blueberries or cinnamon? How would you suggest it be tweaked to make it sweeter?

  10. Jay says:

    Hi Sarah,

Sorry for the delayed reply. The carb count for the almond flour you are using seems really high. Check out the ingredients because I think fillers were added to it. Bob’s Redmill (brand) has an almond flour with 3 net carb per 1/4 cup and is available online here http://www.netrition.com/cgi/goto.cgi?aid=3167&pid=230-0001 or at your local Whole Foods Store.

Bagels with salmon cream cheese use to be my thing, so I totally understand your love for bagels. These are really good especially when you add the toppings: )

  12. Stacey says:

Jay, I made these and they came out great! I really missed bagels! Thank you for this recipe and all your fabulous recipes! Every recipe of yours that I’ve tried has turned out delicious! You are a very creative chef! I have gluten intolerance so I have not had a good bagel for a year and a half. The gluten free ones in the store are ineatible and high in carbs.

  13. Sarah says:

    Hi Jay

I just bought some almond meal and realised that it contains 19.7grams of carbs per hundred grams. This seems really high and I was wondering whether this is normal for most brands?

    Many thanks
    SJ
