Low Carb Broccoli Slaw Stir fry

1 lb Ground beef
1 bag of broccoli slaw
2 tablespoon sesame oil
2 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
2 green onion chopped
3 cloves sliced garlic ( minced)
1/4 cups chicken broth

Sauce
1 tablespoon grated ginger
1 tablespoon brown rice vinegar
3 tablespoon soy sauce ( I use low sodium)
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes ( use less if you want a less spicy dish)
1/2 tsp Sriracha hot chili sauce ( for that extra kick)

Brown ground beef 3 minutes then drain of excess fat.
Add the onions and garlic to the meat and cook about 2 minutes more then set aside
In a separate pan, I used a wok add 2 tablespoon sesame oil
Add the broccoli slaw and stir fry about 2 minutes.
Add the chicken broth and stir fry 1 minute.
Add the ground beef and cook 1 minutes more.
Add the sauce and stir fry about 3 minutes more.
Add the Sriracha hot chili sauce (can omit if you want a less spicy dish)
Top with green onion and toasted sesame seeds

    I made this tonight and this was great. My calculation of the carbs was

    3 cloves garlic – 3 carbs
    Broccoli slaw- 8 net
    3tbsp soy sauce – 3 carbs
    White chopped onion – 1/4 cup – 4 grams net
    Ginger – 1 carb

    So approximately 19 – 20 carbs

    4 healthy servings and quite good. She doesn’t list white chopped onion but it’s in the video. Also she says to put soy sauce in the wok. I think she meant the sesame oil or at least that’s what I used.

    I am a great fan of low carb ! As I am a private care giver and LPN to a diabetic, I encourage him to eat on the lower side of carbs. He is a rather large man(386lbs) who has struggled with wt all his adult life.. hense: diabetes with insulin dependence. Since I have come to care for him I have been using the principles of low carb. As of April 25 and six weeks of JUST lowering his carbs this 63 year old man has lost 16 lbs! We increased his water intake ,took him off so much diet soda(not all but greatly decreased) and increased his protein level significantly. He feels HE says,and looks soooooo much better since we started. Since I found your web site today on FB,I will try the Broccoli slaw posted. How ever I didn’t see the carb ct. per serving …what is it ? I am very anxious to try many of your recipes. (I have lost 133 lbs myself. =-) Keep going GF, you CAN do it !!!!!

    Just curious how long you have been lowcarbing and how much weight have you lost in what amount of time?

    I am on day 20, and down 10.5lbs – but have another 100+ to go.
