Are Nuts Making You Nuts!

If you are on my face-book fan-page you may have seen my recent post about my current weight loss stall. I had gone a two week period with no weight loss, even though I was working out 5 days a week and eating only low carb foods. I was so frustrated!

The only thing that I was doing differently was consuming nuts. Granted, I was having more than a serving size portion each time, sometimes up to 2x daily. Who could have one serving of nuts? Not I : (

For the past two days I cut out nuts completely from my diet and I am happy to report that I am down 2lbs! Oh Happy Days : )

    Rhea, I think it will help, some of us experience stalls in weight loss when consuming nuts. Please come back and let me know if it changes things for the better for you.

    Thanks! I was eating pecans. As per the label, each serving size was just 1g. I guess I should give that up for a few days and see what happens

    Hello Jay
    I started doing your delicious recipes (I have 6 months doing a low carb diet and I lost 30 lbs) and right now reading this post know why I have a weight loss stall for 2 months!!I’m so frustrated, add the fact that I was drinking too much diet sodas lately :-/
    I have 3 days without almonds and no sodas and I hope the weight loss will be coming soon… wish me good luck! 🙂

    I agree Gigi, I now have them only in my salads. And maybe one serving here and there. I lost 3.5lbs right after giving them up, so they really stall my weight loss if I have too much of them.

    Oh Jay, I feel your pain. I started eating almonds about a month ago and my weight loss has been minimal. I’m not ready to give up the nuts yet, so I portioned them out in little baggies. One baggie a day. (That’s what I’m telling myself )… I’m just nuts about nuts! :-S
