If you are currently on a low carb diet you may have already heard of Carbquik. If this is your first time hearing about it, then today may just be your lucky day. This product will help curb those cravings for high carb flour and baked foods.
Carbquik has been compared to Bisquick, it is quite similar in taste and that is about where the similarity ends. This product is a dream come true for low carbers. It is made from wheat, and according to their website regarding this product they say “We combine wheat products with enzymes to create a flour-like product with minimal carbohydrates.”
Does Carbquik contain any transfat?
No. According to FDA guidelines, Carbquik does not contain nutritionally significant trans fats.
This product can be used to make things like pancakes, biscuits, waffles, pizzas and I even used it as a breading for fried chicken wings (yummy). Also, be sure to check out my pancake recipe to see how I used it to create a delicious low carb breakfast.
How many carbs in Carbquik?
Well this is the best part, this product is extremely low in carbs.
The nutritional carb facts are:
Per 1 oz. (28.35g.) 3.3g.
Per 1 cup (110g.) 13g.
How is that for low carb?
Can I use Carbquik if I am doing induction?
One thing I would advise is that this product should not be used during Induction on the Atkins diet or Phase 1 on the South Beach Diet.
My Opinion on this product?
