Keto Taco Pies

These Keto Taco pies are one of my favorite creations. You will not be disappointed, it is packed with flavor and a huge Crowd-pleaser. Enjoy~

Dough

1 1/2 cups Mozzarella cheese, shredded

2 oz cream cheese

3/4 cups of almond flour 

1 large egg

1 teaspoon Johnny’s Garlic Spread And Seasoning or garlic powder

1/4 cups oat fiber 500 for dusting ( highly recommended)

In a medium bowl add the mozzarella cheese and cream cheese. Microwave for  1 minute.  Remove and stir. Microwave for an additional minute then remove and combine both cheeses.  Add the almond flour, garlic spread seasoning and egg. Combine all the ingredients and kneed into dough. Use the oat fiber to minimize the stickiness from the cheese dough. Using a biscuit cutter, cut into circular shapes and fill with meat. Top with another section of the dough and seal edges with a fork. Brush with Egg yolk over top. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

Taco Meat

1 lb ground beef

2 tablespoons of taco seasoning

1/2 medium onion (chopped)

1 jalapeno pepper ( minced)

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1 cup water

1/4 tsp xanthan gum     

Salt and pepper to taste

  1. Make the Dough
  2. Meanwhile, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add the taco seasoning and stir together thoroughly. Add the onions, garlic and jalapeno pepper and combine. Add the water to cover the beef and allow to come to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for about 20 mins. Add the xanthan gum when liquid is boiled down to about ΒΌ cup.
